TAPAS mobile

The TAPAS mobile roughness measurement instrument is the smallest currently available roughness instrument featuring a reference plane (must not be confused with similar small devices on the market having a skid pick up). The pick up and the drive are inside one housing. This device can be used with specific benefit in the production process since it is vibration insensitive due to its very small measurement loop.

Applications

The roughness measurement on brake discs requires a small instrument which can be placed directly on the disc.

The self-sufficient Tapas mobile roughness measurement system can be operated in conjunction with a robot or a similar less versatile device and thereby it is possible to make measurements at locations which cannot be reached when using conventional measurement stations.
