These side lever presses are fitted with all the sensors and analysis equipment required for comprehensive monitoring of force and distance when fitting, stamping, punching or in press-insertion. This means that individual workplaces can be fitted economically with proven instrumentation, specifically matching the application, so that the quality of manufactured products is consistently assured here too. Useful accessories such as the DIGIPILOT model 5510 acknowledgement box mean that accidental incorrect operation is entirely prevented, making a valuable contribution to quality assurance. The press itself, like the instrumentation used, is largely designed for universal application, so that it can be flexibly adapted to the widest possible range of parts or products to be manufactured.
The press and the measurement equipment should be thought of as one complete system. The entire force displacement relationship curve is recorded by the sensors and DIGIFORCE® and is analyzed using window and envelope techniques. Eight measuring programs for eight different working procedures can be saved and recalled as required.
The displacement sensor is mounted at the side of the head of the press. The load cell is located underneath at the plunger, directly in the path of the press force. It offers the familiar tool holder and can, like the hand lever, be fitted for left-handed or right-handed use. As a result, the cable connection to the working area is not restricted.
