Visakha Bucha Day falls on the 15th day of the waxing moon of the 6th lunar month, which falls on May 11, 2025.
It is the day that the Lord Buddha was born, attained enlightenment, and passed away, which falls on the same day and month. Therefore, it is considered an important religious day and is highly respected by Buddhists. Activities on Visakha Bucha Day that Buddhists like to do include making merit by offering alms to monks | practicing Dhamma | listening to sermons | and circumambulating the temple with candles to commemorate the teachings of the Lord Buddha: “ Do good, avoid evil, and purify your mind.”
