Visakha Bucha Day is an internationally recognized Buddhist holy day, observed on the full moon of the sixth lunar month. It commemorates the Birth, Enlightenment, and Parinirvana of the Buddha, all of which occurred on the same day.

On this occasion, Buddhists around the world engage in religious activities such as making merit by offering alms, observing moral precepts, listening to Dhamma teachings, and participating in candlelight processions, in remembrance of the Buddha’s purity, wisdom, and compassion.
